  • Day 42 - Ashamed

After my weigh in last week, I was good for the majority of the rest of the weekend, until I got to Milton keynes and my dreaded training course! The training course was fab, but unfortunately, so was the grub :( I also met up with other trainees in the evening and we went out to the harvester restaurant, opposite the hotel.
Since getting back, I've been dog tired. OK, I didn't get a good nights sleep whilst at the hotel (a couple were fighting in the room next door for 2 hours, starting at 3.00am!!!!). Then I had the long drive home, getting in at 8.00pm. Then I was on early shift the next morning, and of course hubby has the loudest snore in the world, and he has a cold, so its even worse!!!! I wondered if the food that I had eaten also might have contributed to the level of exhaustion I was feeling. I went to bed at 9.00pm last night to try and catch up.
I was sooo tired, I cancelled my weigh in. Naughty of me, but i really wasn't in the mood and I knew that I had put on at least 2lbs. Actually, when I weighed myself today, I have only put on about 1lb. This has spurred me on to be good today/rest of the week.
3 weeks until I have to go back to milton keynes, lets see how much I can get off before my next big trial!

  • Day 35 - weigh in results

Its been a hard slog this week, but I didnt' cheat and it seems to have paid off - 5.25lbs off!!!! Whoopee - I am very happy.

My BMI is down to 30.5 or something like that, so I'm just inside the 'obese' category.

People at work are now starting to comment on my loss, which is really encouraging. I've also gone to put on some smart (office type) trousers today and they are dropping off and would have looked ridiculously baggy, so I had to rummage and find some others that are smaller. I have never worn these trousers before, had to take the labels off of them - how good is that??? Unfortunately, another pair that I had (still had labels on) are too big too and I've never even had them on! I can live with that :)

Might having a testing weekend as I'm in Milton Keynes training and they lay on the food (which is lush). I've prepared a bit by getting some tetra bricks to take with me.

    Wish me luck!

  • Day 30

So far so good this week. Started to get tempted last night cos the family went to the chippy for tea. They're pretty good at keeping their leftovers out of sight - thank goodness!

Starting to get more compliments about my weight loss. If I can be good throughout this coming weekend, I'll be up for a good loss on Tuesday. Must keep strong!

Have been adding some Psyllium husks to my soups, which make the soup a little thicker, lovely in this cold weather! The psyllium husks are supposed to 'make you go' cos I haven't 'been' since Monday and we're on Friday now! Theres probably not too much solid stuff in there waiting to come out anyway :D

Swimming tonight, hope its not too busy. I hate getting changed in public. The swimming club comes out just before we go in, and of course they are all young nubile slim YOUNG (again) things. Usually floating about without a stitch on, and here's me slinking off to the loo to get changed, out of anyone's sight. Actually, even if I was as slim as Twiggy, I think I would still slink off to the loo to get changed!

  • Fourth Weigh In

    Loss of 1lb.

Mixed week. Good for the most part, no cheating. 3 people have commented that I am looking slimmer, which is lovely :)

Unfortunately, went on a training course over the weekend, away from home. Drove all the way to Milton Keynes without eating since lunchtime, got there at 8.30 and I was STARVING. I had just left it too long and ended up buying a take away. This set the theme for the rest of the weekend, and when I got home I was 3lbs heavier :(

I'll be good this week and just hope that I can stay good throughout the weekend. I want to lose at least 3lbs next weigh in!

Sister in law and sister are now both on this diet - I should be on a commission!
